"1930. RUXTON MODEL FRONT WHEEL DRIVE

LIKE ITS RIVAL, the Cord L-29, the Ruxton was built in limited numbers. A prototype appeared in the spring of 1929,

powered by a 268 ci Continental Straight-8 engine with 100 bhp at 3,400 rpm. All Ruxtons resembled this pilot model
in engine and overall design. Production actually began in Jane 1930 in both the Moon and Kissel factories. There
were two phaetons, a town car, a roadster and a sedan, the latter priced at $3,195. Both Moon and Kissel shut down
their operations in 1930, and Ruxton failed early in 1931, having turned out between three and five hundred cars in its
