couver Outdoor. School’s annual
open house.

The event will feature live music,
refreshments, recreation, crafts, a
white elephant and plant sale, a
silent auction, trail walks, and ac-
tivities at the farm, hatchery and
Salish Longhouse.

Visitors are asked not to bring
pets to the open house which takes
place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on
Sunday, May 14.

The school is located in Paradize
Valley, 15 minutes north of
Squamish. To get there, take
Highway 99 to the Alice Lake in-
tersection, then follow the signs to
the Tenderfoct Hatchery. Pave-
ment ends at the North Vancouver
‘Gutdoor School. *" -.-

services are needed to help with a
number of volunteer jobs. The
organization is looking for 20

people with ‘special skills to do .

tronics and a flair for tinkering §

with: equipment to repair talking
book tape players. The work will
“pe done in the CNIB repair centre
during office hours. .

© People with IBM computers and
word processing skills with Word
‘Perfect to input print material to 2
disk at home. The CNIB wili
translate the text on the disk into
braille using a special program.

© People with drawing ability or
drafting skill who would like to
Jearn to produce tactile graphics
for textbooks. Will involve weekly
‘daytime class.

them to the library for the use of
‘volunteer braille transcribers.
