B.C. Lions have announc- ed the the signing of one of their 1984 C.F.L. draft selec- uons, along with a number of other players for the upcom- ing 1984 training camp. Linebacker Greg Kitchen trom U.B.C., drafted in the seventh round by the Lions, along with import offensive lineman Mark Hasart and wide receiver Curtiss Johnson have all agreed to terms with the club. Both Hasart and Johnson were signed after attending an invitational free-agent tryout held by the Lions at their Surrey facility. A native of Vancouver, Kitchen graduated from Argyle High School before going on to play the past four seasons under Coach Frank Smith at U.B.C. A member of the 1983 champtonship team at UBC, Kitchen saw extensive duty on the return teams as well as playing his hnebacking position. A native of Loutsana, Johnson grew up in Califor- nia and starred in three sports at Curtis H.S. in LaPlace. Went on to play four years at the U. of Idaho, and is a graduating semor who is draft eligable this year. He 1s also a kickoff return specialist Born in Izmir, Turkey and grew up in Battleground, Washington where he Jettered in football, basketball and track and field. Went on to earn three letters in his four years at Colorado, where he played both centre and guard The BC.
