70 Fred Amess paintings worth

Councillors received some
unexpected good news recent-
ly when they were informed
that the City) of North
Vancouver was in possession
of a mothballed art collection
worth about $50,000.

Amess played a significant role
in the tocab arts community daring
the hate 1950s and 1960s as i tus-
tritted through his involvement with
both the Vincouver Act Gallery and
the BC. Society of Artists.
