Suspects corralled A WEST Vancouver resident Jiving in the 1200-block Gordon Avenue was praised by West Vancouver Police for helping in the arrest of four mafes suspected of stealing from: uetomobiles. Const. Jarnie Gibson said at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday the resident heard a noise behind his home. As he opened his back door, he saw some teens ‘attempting to steal his car stereo. The suspects fied the scene in a vehicle, travelling west ‘to 15th Street. The police pulled in behind the suspect vehicle as it approached the Upper Levels Highway from 15th Street. Three 18-year-old males and a 17-year-old male, all of : ‘Vancouver, were arrested at the scene. The police recovered $5,000 worth of stolen stereo equipment from the suspect vehicle. Two of the suspects are currently on probation, and two are awaiting disposition on other criminal charges. The four now face charges of theft, possession of . stolen properiy and breach of probation. “We were fortunate that our complainant was able to provide us with an. accurate description of the suspects and their vehicle, which enabled us to locate them," said; _ Const.
