Ambleside Park has busy summer schedule THERE ARE parks in West Vancouver where people go to get away from it all, and then there is Ambleside Park. Situated close to West Van- couver’s business district, this 59- acre park offers much to many, including a sandy beach, the well used seawalk, playing fields, a fitness circuit, tennis courts, pitch and putt golf, children's area, bird sanc.uary and doggie walk. Twice a day, from May to Oc- tober, the park offers a trackside view of the only full-sized steam engine run in Canada, the Royal Hudson. The source of many of the boats braving the waves is Hollyburn Sailing Club, under the manage- ment of Commodore “*Tyke’ Rabalos. Untold numbers of local sailors got their start with lessons offered by Hollyburn Sailing Club. Youth lessons are offered in July and August.
