NORTH VANCOUVER City Council can’t decide if it should support a proposal for a $40 million expansion of ski facilities in Cypress Provincial Park. Last week, council delayed its initial opposition to Cypress Bowi Recreations Ltd.’s (CBRL) proposal until it hears more about it. CBRL needs provincial government approval Do you support the Cypress Bowl expansion? Renée Wishart West Vancouver No. I -don’t think they should expand because there are enough moun- tains to ski on already. Cypress Bowl is big enough. If there are 800-year-old trees there, Greg Ford North Vancouver Yes. I like skiing. We need to improve local ski runs. Maybe it could br- ing more skiers out here if the runs get better, and more money for the mountain. John Adama Qualicum Besch Yes. i support anything that can improve the ability to do any kind of sport. It should have been done a long time ago. Ursula DeBou West Vancouver Yes. After all, can you really fight progress? A ski run is more in touch with the environment than concrete con- dominiums. Wher you ski, you're there to enjoy why bother?
