RIDGEVIEW ELEMENTARY Schooi students held a walk-a-
thon on May 22 to raise funds for Operation Eyesight Uni-
versal and raised $5,000. Grades 4 (shown in photo), 5 and

6 walked at specified times during the moming with 227
primary school students joining in at 1 p.m.

You are invited to enter this year’s North Shore News Annual Sailing Rac. This
is a fun event, perfect for the whole family. The race begins at 10:00 a.m. off
Dundarave Pier and officially ends at 3:00 p.m. with the finish line off Kitsilano
Yacht Club. Mark your calendar twice, once on Thursday June 18, 7:30 p.m.
for the Skippers’ Meeting, and again on June 21, for Race Day.

The Awards:

Award plaques will be awarded in the categories listed below. All judging will
be conducted by the Awards Committee during the zace itself; there will be no
inspection of vessels at the moorage.
