Mary Collins recently an-
nounced that North Van-
couver-based Skytainer In-
dustries Inc. will be receiv-
ing a loan of $136,100 from
the Western Diversification
Fund to develop the pro-
totype and first 100 units of
a new bulk freight container

for airline freight and pas-

senger baggage.
Skytainer will be working with

B.C. Research and the country’s

two national airlines on the pro-
ject. The containers will be design-
ed for the Airbus A320 aircraft.
