Celebration to honor
teacher's anniversary

A party to celebrate Kaleks' 25
years of teaching at St. Edmund's
will be held May 29, 1988, and or-
ganizers are trying to reach former
students to let them know the
details.

Xmas dinner

to be held

SANTA, THE Food Bank, Save-
On-Foods and McDonald's invite
North Shore families to the first
annual North Shore Community
Christmas Dinner.

The event takes place Saturday,
Dec. 19 between 6 and 10 p.m. in
the Capilano Room of the North
Vancouver Recreation Centre at
23rd and Lonsdale.

The home-cooked dinner with
all the trimmings begins at 6:30
p-m. and will be followed by
enter:ainment, Christmas caroling,
gifts from Santa and a candle-light
Christmas story.

Shuttle bus service, for those
without transportation, is available
from the North Shore Neighbour-

hood House to the dinner. Meet at .

5:30 p.m. at the neighborhood
house, 225 E. 2nd St., North Van-
couver.
