They were honored by Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver in a formal presentation Thursday, Oct. 29 at Capilano Community Services. Operating mainly on private funding, Big Brathers matches dlunteers and boys »..40ut fathers, and provides ongoing support services for the duration of each big brother relationship. Each of the Big Brothers receiv- ed a silver commemorative pin for having devoted at least one year to a seven-to-12-year-old North Shore boy. The little brothers will receive | certificates. Presentations were made by first vice-president Peter Gorgopa and executive director Penny Burk. Recognition for two years ser- vice to fatherless North Shore boys went to: North Vancouver residents Mike DeVertueil, Jim Devine, Martin Slater and Walter Vanlieshout. Vancouver residents Paul Calton and Henry Goldbeck. West Vancouver residents Kim - Moller and Ken Storey.
