and Robin in their escapades on TV. Batmobile will make an appearance at the Speed Sport ’83 custom vehicle show October
28, 29, and 30 at the PNE. Holy dipstick!!

With eleven years of suc-
cessful presentations in Van-
couver, Speed Sport ’83 is
staying in its familiar and
popular location at’ the PNE,
filling the Showmart, Food
and North Forum with hun-
dreds of custom cars, street
rods, specialty trucks and
vehicles for the weekend of
October 28, 29 and 30.

Ever year Speed Sport at-
tracts not only the finest in
cars, trucks, bikes and boats
to its world of paint, polish
and chrome, mag wheels and
superchargers, but it also br-

ings in ai fine group of
Feature vehicles and
personahities.

The automotive category
will feature ‘**Trick Truck’’
— a special handmade, two
man cockpit truck with a
dual control centre pivoting
steering wheel; Bo Derek’s
Barrister — a $75,000 show-
piece customized by the most
famous of Hollywood car
men, George Barris (who in-
cidentally will be in Van-
couver for the show!);
another George Barris crea-
tion Batmobile has never tost
its appeal and has been com-
pletely refurbished and in-
sured at $125,000, Knight
Rider, the car featured in the
television show of the same

greatest attraction at the

In addition Morgana, the
Kissing Bandi, the buxom

mound with lips pursed, will
make a personal appearance
at the show.

Speed Sport °83 is a com-
petition as well as an enter-
tainment. It is a member of
the International Champion-
ship Auto Show series with
more than 200 events across
the United States, Canada

testants include car buffs of
all ages, from all watks of
life, who turn their love of
wheels into the most unique

The cars are more than just
transportatioon, they have
been expressly built, painted
and developed to reflect the
individualism and imagina-
tion of the enthusiasts.

Over $500,000 in prizes are
up for grabs to competitors
in the ISCA categories and

rewards include trophies,

merchandise.
