Officers executed a search Warrant at a private home in the 1000 block of Esquimalt Avenue. They found 169 marijua- na plants worth approxi- mately $170,006. The rented cesidence was vacant except for the grow- ing operation set up in the basement. Police are recommending that a 45-year-old Vietnamese man from East Vancouver be charged with theft of hydro, producing a controlled substance, and possession of a controfled substance for the purpose of trafficking. The marijuana growing operation is the thirteenth to be discovered in West Vancouver this year.
