28 — Friday, july 24, 1998 — North Shore News Kestia spoke last week DURING the weekend of July 10 and 11 the first annual astrology conference was held at the Vancouver Public Library. North Shore residents from Deep Cove to West Vancouver were in abundance at this eclectic event. The lectures spanned a myriad topics. I spoke on our vocation and spiritual path as delineated by the Vesta or Hestia placement in the horoscope. Using examples of fumous people, f demonstrated how this astrological signature por- trays our true passion and drive. Loretta Proctor, the British astrologer spoke clo- quently on our emerging feminine qualities, seen through the archetypes of Guinevere, Morgana and Elaine (the ladies of Arthurian legend) and through astrology via the energy of the Moon, Venus and Mars. Kim Pechet walked us through her refined techniques on cen- tring and grounding using zation and chakra awareness.
