received 12 mouths" probation after
he picaded guilty to passessing a

“switchblade on Jan. 12 in North
Vancouver City.

A Farsi imerpreter was required
for court proceedings.

Before Judge Bill Rodgers in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Sept. 7:

atrick Wade Wright, 28. of
North Vancouver, was fined $200
after he pleaded guilty to stealing
jeans belonging to Sears on Sept. 6
in North Vancouver City.

Before Judge Bill Rodgers in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Sept. 6:

James Raymond Sewell, 38. of
North Vancouver. was fined $250
after he pleaded guilty to obstruct-
ing RCMP Const. Mike LeGault.

LeGault was a North Vancouver
RCMP officer at the time of the
offence. LeGault is currently at the
Prince Rupert detachment,

Sewell’s criminal record was
present in court.

Before Judge Doug Moss in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Sept. 6:

Jon Kevin Smythe, 31, of West
Vancouver, was fined $200 after he
was found guilty of causing a public

disturbance by fighting near the
1900-black of Lonsdale Avenue on
March 11.

Before Judge Bil) Rodgers in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Sept. 5:

Arend Jan Qomen, 56,0 of

Vancouver, received 24 months’
probation afler he was found guilty
of:
assaulting a man on May 12 in
North Vancouver City:
@ causing a disturbance in public
by shouting, swearing or using
insulting or obscene language in the
200-block of Hast Esphunade.

North Vancouver provincial court
on Sept. 5:

David A. Friesen, 38, of North
Vancouver, was jailed three months
after he pleaded guilty to:
