Park Royal
upgrade on
schedule as
new stores
open doors
for Xmas

CONSTRUCTION WORK
on a multi-million renova-
tion of the Park Royal
Shopping Centre in West
Vancouver is on target, and
several new merchants will
soon be opening their doors
for Christmas shoppers.

Rick Amantea, Park Royal
director, said the new east wing of
the north mali has already opened
for business and a new public
market on the south mall will
open this weekend.

‘It’s just a matter of cleaning
things up and marking the parking
lot (on north mall),’’ said
Amantea.

He added that the entire $20
million redevelopment project will
be complete next spring.

. Park Royal announced
Fenovation project last year.

One key component of the pro-
ject is to move the government-
run specialty liquor store from the
south mall to the north mall.

Amantea said the liquor store’s
new location will open towards
the end of the year.

The new public market on the
south mall will be located between
the existing SuperValu and
Eaton’s department stores and will
offer speciality items.

Some of the new businesses to
move into the south mall include:

@ Casce, a flatware and table-
ware store:

ladies’ fashion store;

@ Ac-Scent Flowers.

Amgntea said Park Royal’s
total number of retail outlets will
increase from 220 to 225.
