There’s no place like Our Town...

MOST LOCAL residents know that there's no better place to live
than the North Shore.

The area’s obvious attributes include the mountains, the boom-
ing waterfront and the wide variety of wooded parks and recrea-
tion areas. But there’s more to the North Shore than meets the eye.

The three local municipalities —- North Vancouver City and the
districts of North and West Vancouver — are home to a large percen-
tage of the Lower Mainland’s high-tech firms and a host of businesses
connected with the growing B.C. film industry.

And the North Shore’s deep water port has over 50 per cent of

major Vancouver por: harbor facilities.

Loca! businesses, from smal! merchants to multi-million dollar
firms, are also a vital component of the North Shore’s collective corn-
munity persona.
