Gas prices make fuel
efficiency important

AMAZING, ISN’T it? Now
you can fill up your gas
tank and empty your wallet

In the past couple of months,
most of us have experienced the
uncomfortable reality of paying
more than we’re used to for a full
tank of gas. The price of gas is
going up and it doesn’t look like
it’s going to come down in the
near future.

Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? The
oil crisis in the ’70s had a similar
effect on consumers and the
automotive industry. Cars got
smaller, engines got smaller, and
people delighted in buying cars
that got amazing gas mileage. The
price of gas affected our buying
habits and even our values.

on gasoline than burn it up and
expel it into the atmosphere, the
