Spray opponents win right to appeal RESIDENTS opposed to BC Rail plans to a glyphosate herbicide on blackberry bushes along a 10-mile strip of railway track in West Vancouver have won the right to appeal the spraying permit issued by the proviacial Ministry of Environment. Emma Ross-Awde said concerned citizens against the spraying have scheduled a public meeting for Thursday at 7 p.m. at 4480 Keith Rd. in West Vancouver to discuss the appeal. Therapist charged with sex assault A WEST Vancouver psychiatrist has been charged with one count of sexual assault in Coquitlam as a result of an RCMP investiga- tion that started there Aug. 18. Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. D. Dalziel said Tuesday that Romy Zar- sadias — who lives in West Vancouver but practises in Coquitlam — will appear in court Sept. 24, The victim of the alleged Aug. 18 sexual assault is a 16-year-old female, but Datziel could not say if the victim was a patient of Zarsadias, The RCMP would not say if more charges were pending against Zarsadias. NV man faces P&E charge A 19-YEAR-OLD North Yancouver man appeared Friday in North Vancouver provincial court to face charges of break and enter and hit and run. Dale Robert Mcfidvon was originally charged with break and enter in connection with an April 17 incident in which a shake and shingle mill in Nakusp, B.C. was alleged to have been burglarized. Melldoon was further charged with hit and run in connection with a June 26 incident in North Vancouver in which he allegedly failed to stop at the scene of an accident. Appearing before Judge J.K. Shaw, MecIidoon was remanded to Oct. 2 for his next appearance on the charges. Two charged with B&E TWO NORTH Shore men will appear for trial Nov. 17 in North Vancouver provincial court on a charge of break and enter.
