MUNICIPALITY MAKES DEMANDS
W. Van Legion pians expansion

THE WEST Vancouver Branch of the Royal Canadian
Legion is planning a 1,500 square foot expansion of its 18th
Street building, but must first comply with a host of

municipal requests.

West Vancouver District Coun-
cil is asking the legion to make ar-
ranigements for more parking by
securing some off-site spaces.

Negotiations are underway with
a nearby funeral parlor, reported

has also been recommended by the
department. ;

“There are a number of features
here that will cost a great deal of
money,’ Seymour told district
council. ‘‘We are a charitable
organization and all of the money
we make goes into charitable pro-
jects.””
