Al4-Sunday News, September 7, 1980 _ Dixons feted on Diamond Wedding The Diamond Wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Earl Dixon, 421 West 16th Street, North Vancouver, was celebrated recently with a buffet dinner at the North Van home of Mr. and Mrs. Del Dixon. The honored couple were married 60 years ago — on September 8, 1920, in Winnipeg. They sub- sequently moved to Regina and then, in 1942, to North Vancouver. They have six children, all of whom were present at the celebration. There are also MR. and MRS. RICHARD EARL DIXON 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Evelyn Moir’s Golden Wedding Anniversary at their home in North Van- couver. Their three daughters, Mrs. W.R. Dey (Marnie), Mrs. M.A. Belfie (Ruth) and Mrs. J.D. Campbell (Lynn), presented them with a trip to Britain for the occasion. They toured Devon and Cornwall in England, visited Mr. Moir's birthplace at Gordondale, Inverurie, Scotland, and spent several days visiting historical sites in London. Mr. Moir has been a resident of North Vancouver for 67 years, and his wife, the former Mary Evelyn Hamilton of Vancouver, has resided here since their marriage. In his earlier years Johnny Moir captained the North Vancouver Ex. High Soccer Club — to win all three divisions of the then Vancouver and Diaistrict Soccer League.
