Sponsored by the Inner Peace Movement (IPM), lecturers Sonja Clark and Judy Guido will present Action, Organization and Fulfil- ment, one of several topics that the pair have lectured on in their work with IPM, Started by Francisco Coll in 1964, the international, non-profit movement ‘helps people be suc- cessful and fulfilled’’ in all aspects of their life, says Clark. A director of the IPM of Canada, Clark says the non-sec- tarian group does not offer any pat answers, but helps people get in touch with their own feelings and accept both themselves and others around them. “We're a catalyst for people to find their own answers?’ said Clark. ‘‘People haven’t been taught to go within to find their own answers.”’ After hearing the library lecture, people who are interested attend a more in-depth lecture, then meet in small groups once a week for 12 weeks, “It’s a safe environment to share,’”’ notes Clark, who says the gioup members study writings of Francisco Coll and each give input on the week’s reading..Much of the benefit of the group, she says, is having people to listen to what you are saying without being judgmental. Co-lecturer Judy Guido says she grew up in an intellectual en- vironment, but ‘‘began to learn better” when IPM helped her listen to — and trust - — her own feelings. Lecture focuses on making positive change The IPM has a number of divi- sions that deal with different topics. The newest addition to the movement is its Business World division, which gave its first Ca- nadian lecture Oct. 19 at Robson Square. . Business world lectures and sem- inars are designed to help people maximize their potential in lead- ership, communications and goal- setting in a non-stressful manner.
