Wayne Bishop and _his brother Ron, who own and operate Bishop’s Jewellers at 1598 Lonsdale, have carved out their own niche in the bustling Vancouver film and television production racket. “We do tons of work for the . film industry,” said Wayne Bishop. “Unbelievable amounts of work. We've made jewelry for at least, I think, fifty pro- ductions. I’ve actually lost track.” The Bishop brothers and staff recently made ail the jewelry for Amold Schwarzenegger's new flick The Sixth Day. Wayne, a * certified goldsmith and ologist who apprenticed at the old Trayling and Waters jewelry c company in Vancouver, bills his shop as “the family jeweller.” Two doors down, Colleen Polano is the proprietor of the bagel store where ‘everybody knows your name.
