Last week’s B.C. Day Tea Dance at the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre was incredibly successful. The place was sold out completely with more than 2,000 people in the audience, dancing, singing, applauding and thoroughly enjoying themselves! Just after noon, the line-up started from the convention en- trance down the long hali to the door of the exhibition halls. There were young people, middie-agers, seniors, people with walkers and in wheelchairs. It was fantastic! Even The Pez was there! What a sharp cookie that guy is! No wonder parking was at a premium at the Canada Place complex!... ese More good news is that the co- star of the box office hit, Phan- tom of the Opera, Patti Cohenour, has been released from hospital. She had been rushed to VGH Emergency last Wednesday afternoon following an injury to her back during the matinee per- formance. Doctors diagnosed a severely wrenched spinal column and kept her in the trauma unit until Saturday. She’s home now on complete bed rest and ice packs for the next 10 days or so. Toronto’s June Crowley, who's like a twin to Patti, is her alter- nate in the role of Christine and is doing a great job!...
