The Lon- don Community Gospel Choir fills out the rich Persuasions-inspired harmonies of Garry and Russell Christian. Omar And The Howlers — Monkey Land, Antone’s Records 19390 You don’t have to be a biker dude to dig this howler monkey’s wicked roadhouse concoction. Omar Dykes slides along, Mississippi mud-like, somewhere between John Fogerty and Howlin’ Wolf. The tunes, produc- ed and written by Mr. Omar himself, are, for the better pan, beer-belly busting rhythm and olues romps. That's not to say the guy can‘t step back from the fire for a soft-hearted moment or two, Night Shadows is a respectable ballad. There’s also a growling cover of the Beatles’ She’s A Woman.
