THIS YEAR with no Terry Fox or
Steve Fonyo to help bolster fund
raising for the Canadian Cancer
Society, the society is counting on
each donor and volunteer worker
to be a ‘hero’ himself.

The West Vancouver unit
urgently needs volunteers to can-
vass from the Eastern Boundary to
Horseshoe Bay including Sunset
Beach, Lions Bay and Bowen
Island.

The cancer campaign starts with
Daffodil Day on April 5 to in-
troduce the door to door canvass
commencing with a Blitz Night on
April 7.

The target for West Vancouver
this year is $100,000.

Area chairmen still require zone
captains and canvassers and are
asking the public to give a couple
of hours to assist with this impor-
tant work.
