The Memorial Society of British Columbia wishes to remind { the public that; we do not solicit by telepone, or by door-to-door home visits. Nor do we authorize any individual, ot organization, to use this form of solicitation on our behalf. : # We have also received a number of expressions of concern, from some of our members, over the content of some newspaper advertisements, apparently directed toward Society members, and claiming prices j that are lower than those of our Contract Funeral Home. To clear-up any possible confusion, the Society reminds members that we have a written Contract, only with First Memorial Services Ltd., (Boal Chapel}. The Contract gives First Memorial Services Ltd., 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, B.C. (a full ser: - vice Funeral Home, with its own Crematorium) the exclusive right to Service Society members in the Lower Mainland-Fraser Valley Area. For the record, the following are some of the prices, currently in ef- fect for Society members, through this Funeral Home: ” FUNERAL SERVICE — $475 Includes: Pick-up of deceased, from Hospital or home; registration of death; one copy of Death Cer- tificate; minimum cost coffin; initial consultation with Executor or Next-of-Kin, and completion of necessary documentation; religious or secular service in Undertaker's Funeral Chapel, with body present (closed coffin) and use of hearse; transportation (one car) for Family, to and from service; transportation {one car} for pallbearers, to and from cenetery; Memorial Society Records Fee ($15). CREMATION COST — $85 EXTRA OTHER FEATURES —_ - ¢ No transportation charge within a 45 km radius of Vencouver. Oper * You may opt to use the Funeral Home Chapel, or have a service held in the Church of your choice in your own neighbourhood, * You may elect burial or cremation. * Arrangements can be made to protect your funeral costs against inflationary pressures, by paying for Re. pets : regardless of how long you live.
