Blood donor honors

TWO NORTH Vancouver
blood donors have given 50
pints of blood each at local
Red Cross blood donor
clinics.

Medical technology now
makes it possible to split up
blood into components so
transfusion patients get only
what they need. The 100 pints
of blood donated by these
two donors could help 400
people today

Jones, Sue Perri and Richard
Jones, adding another 140
pints to the blood bank to
save countless hives.

and officials are optimistic
about collections for 1984

an international photograph contest sponsored by Nikon.
Photo was taken in Stockholm, Sweden last year in the
late afternoon direct sunlight. Done on infra red film, the
image in the photo has a diffused appearance. Judged in
Japan, the photo was the only Canadian winner, amongst
44,000 entries from 50 countries.
