Jacqueline Landry, ac- companied by her husband Rolland, was first in line at the opening of Loto-Quebec offices to claim the wealth from her lucky combination in the 649 draw this week- end. The resident of the south- shore bedroom community of Longueuil picked the winning six numbers out of a possible 49 from a jackpot of $3.895 387.50. Loto officials said the sum was the largest single lottery payment ever in North America because larger prizes in the United States were paid in in- stallments. eee = “We haven't slept a wink since Sunday morning,” Mrs. Landry said in a Loto- Quebec release. “We were up at 3:00 am (Monday) ready to accept our win. “You can't imagine what happened when we discovered we won!
