Colour is one of the keys to
this fall’s fashions. It is clear
and clean... carrying an
ethnic flavour... neutrals...

earthy tones... never basic or
dull.

A bigger, easier, away
from the body look is the
trend in shape -- bigger at
top with draped shoulders,
raglan and lcose sleeves
with deepened armhoies.
More emphasis is placed on
wider and fuller skirts worn
with these bigger tops. Pants
on the other hand are
definitely narrower but still
worn with the bigger tops.
Layering continues to be very
important. It is an establish-
ed part of dressing now but
with a fresh burst of
excitement from fall’s new
shapes, new softness, new
colours in jackets, vests,
sweaters, shirts,
tunics and skirts.

The skirt length is lengths
plural. No one length is the
only “‘right’’ length. Short

on-the-job work experience
on Fridays and Saturdays,
graduates quite naturally
phase out of their part-time
