| Chinatown garden displays chrysanthemums

THE DR. Sun Yat-Sen Garden
Society of Vancouver has an-
nounced that the Point Grey
Chrysanthemum Association will
be displaying many magnificent
potied plants including disbuds,
charms and cascades in the
hatlways and pavilions at the Dr.

Sun Yat-Sen Garden in Van-
couver's Chinatown from Nov. |
to 20.

The chrysanthemum is a tradi-
tional symbol of autumn, while
most blossoms die with the en-
croachment of the frost and icy
weather, the chrysanthemum pro-

ceeds to bloom.

It is considered to be the fourth
of the seasonal flowers known as
the “four gentlemen,”
