West Vancouver, received a
four month conditional sen-
tence and 18 months’ proba-
tion after he was found guilty
of obtaining $3,900 by false
pretence from Vancouver
City Savings Credit Union
on fune 20, 1996 in West
Vancouver.

Hon was required to per-
form 100 hours of communi-
ty work and pay $3.900 resti-
tution to the credit union.

Diebolt in North
Vancouver provincial court
on Feb. 2:

Westview Esso
(Corporation of Westview
Motors Inc.) was fined $200
after the company was found
guilty of selling tobacco to a
person under age 19 on Aug.

, 1996.

Before Judge Reginald
Grandison in North
Vancouver provincial court
on Feb. 2:

Douglas James Carr, 26,
of Gibsons, was fined $500
and received 12 months’ pro-
bation after he was found
guilty of assaulting a man on
March 26, 1997 in West
Vancouver.

Burglary
tips
sought

THE North Vancouver
RCMP is asking the
public’s assistance in
solving a business bur-
glary which occurred
last September that
involved the loss of
$68,000 worth of
computers.

Police say burglars dis-
abled a sophisticated security
system alter breaking into a
computer business office and
warchouse on Sept. 20, 1997
in the 1500-block of Welch
Street in North Vancouver.

Once in the warehouse,
the burglars loaded the com-
puter equipment into a vehi-
ele they brought: with them.
Police say the burglars were
" Knowledgeable about com-
puters and chose to fake the
most valuable components.
