Chris Tidd, known for his investment program on Shaw Cable and an invest- ment counsellor with Loewen, Ondaatje and Mc- Cuthcheon, will give the lec- tures. The West Vancouver Senior Centre. at 695, 21st Street is the Jocation for the first lecture on October 25. he second lecture 1S at Silver Harbour Centre, 144 East 22nd Street, North Vancouver. Tidd will discuss ‘‘blue chip’’ common stocks, preferred shares and mutual funds as investment alter- natives. He will also discuss how to improve the return on your savings and explain the tax savings provided through the dividend tax credit. Tidd will define such terms as liquidity, yield, retractables, and other in- vestment terms that may sound confusing. Both lectures start at 1:30 p.m. and tea and coffee will be served. The !ecturers will be geared to seniors with modest incomes, giving sug- gestions on how to maximize one’s resources through careful investing. These lectures are part of a continuing series of Retirement Financial Plann- Open forur ing programs arranged by the Financial Information for Seniors Committee of the North Shore Information and Volunteer Centre.
