Sergios replied about 3 minutes later, leaving the score ted again and forcing a shoot out. After the first 5 players had shot from each side the score was still tied, forcing a second shoot-out. Sergios goaltender Carl Markersth made the winning stop on Scandicrafts 8th penalty shot, to ensure the victory and give Sergios the cherished league champion- ship for the first time.
