Now, what looks awkward
— and often is — is a left
rurn on a red light and onto
an acceleration lane which
leads to a freeway such as the
Trans Canada Highway.
There are four different areas
on the North Shore where
such a turn is lawful.
However, less-certain drivers
may be better off staying put,
considering “guessing” and
“hoping” are not safe driving
practices.

Here on the North Shore
one can make a legal left-on-
