COMPUTER Solutions [nterna-
tional (CSI) has announced
TeleCommand, a_ revojutionary
product which allows anyone with
a touch tone telephone to have a
two-way phone conversation with
their 1BM PC or compatible com-
puter.

Telecommand converts tele-
phone touch tones into any
keystrokes available on a computer
keyboard.

Any security protection or com-
puter operation currently available
through a computer keyboard may
now be accessed by a caller via the
telephone keypad.

The voice technology incor-
porated into TeleCommand pro-
vides a natural replacement for the
computer monitor. TeleCommand
can read back to the caller any text
displayed on the screen using either
synthesized voice or a user’s own
digitized voice.

TeleCommand’s state-of-the-art
voice digitization process enables a
user to record their natural voice
quality in any language or accent.
This feature also allows verbal
prompts or messages to be re-
corded for playback to a caller.

TeleCommand comes with menu
driven software to allow it to be
quickly and easily interfaced to
any ezisting commercial software
package.

Its design structure enables it to
fit into almost any application or
environment.

According to CSI, TeleCom-
mand offers a valuable savings
opportunity to both industry and
government. By allowing a tele-
phone caller to directly input ar
receive information from the com-
puter, TeleCommand eliminates
the need for data entry and infor-
mation retrieval operations.

Potential applications include:
inventry control systems, order en-
try, real estate data base informa-
tion retrieval, hotel and industrial
Status systems, and hospital ad-
ministration information systems.

TeleCommand also offers an in-
telligent outbound calling capabili-
ty, including call forwarding and
call conferencing. Working from a
computerized phone list,
TeleCommand can make a vast
number of outgoing calls, providing
a cost effective solution in the
areas of telemarketing, and mass
voice mail (i.e. credit collections,
etc). TeleCommand can also be ef-
ficiently used for mass notification
purposes by school boards, gov-
ernment agencies, police and fire
departments, and mass merchants.

CSI also announced DataCom-
mand, an extremely low cost and
flexible hand held computer which,
when coupled with TeleCommand,
is capable of making remote calls
to any existing DOS level program
and transferring data without the
complexities of modems.
