Before Judge William Diebolt on Jan. 21: John MacFarlane McLuckie, 67, of North Vancouver, received a six month conditional sentence after he pleaded guilty to pro- ducing marijuana on Jan. 8, 1998 in North Vancouver District. Hydroponic — equipment and plants were ordered for- feited, Before Judge Jerome Paradis on Jan. 20: Benjamin August Nahance, 25, of North Vancouver, was jailed one month and received 12 months’ probation after he pleaded guilty to: @ stealing [A new merchandise belonging to Eaton’s in West Vancouver on fuly 29, 1998, & stealing a woman's “registra tion papers, keypad and CDs” from her vehicle on Nov. 26, 1997 in North Vancouver City; @ failing to go to court on Jan. 14, 1998 and on Jan. 13. eee Donald Raymond Gibson, 34, of Coquitlam, was fined $250 and received 12 months’ probation after he pleaded guilty to committing mischief by damaging a weman's door on Oct. 16, 1998 in North Vancouver City. Gibson was required to pay $120 restitution. eee Alisha Rita Pirs, 18, Burnaby, received four months’ probation after she pleaded guilty to stealing mer- chandise belonging to Eaton's in West Vancouver on Aug. 9, 1998. Before Judge Bill Rodgers on Jan. 18: Adrian Sean Clarke, 32, of West Vancouver, was fined $200 after he pleaded guilty to breaching probation by drink- ing alcohol on Sepr. 4, 1998 in North Vancouver District. Before Judge Jerome Paradis on Jan. 15: Gavin Henderson Watson, 26, of Victoria, was jailed six months after he pleaded guilty to the break, enter and theft of a house in the 800-block of East 29th Street on May 22, 1998 in North Vancouver City. The jail sentence was to be served concurrently (at the same time) as another jail sen- tence. Before Judge Burdett on Jan. 15: Ronald Peter Proskurniak, 47, of Vancouver, was fined $250 after he pleaded not guilty to impaired driving, but instead pleaded guilty to the lesser or included offence of driving without due care and attention, The original =~ charge stemmed from an Oct. 1, 1998 incident in West Vancouver.
