to--becoming the starting
middle linebacker for the
Leos.

“Sam. did an outstanding
job for us last year”, says
Head Coach Vic Rapp. “He
improved throughout the
1978 season and we are
looking forward very much
to his play in 1979”.

Traded to Hamilton from
the Edmonton Eskimos .in
1976, Sam was a stalwart for
the Tiger-Cats as they very
nearly edgéd out Ottawa in
the Eastern Conference final
playoff game.

Playing for Edmonton in
1975, Britts unfortunately
suffered a pinched nerve in
his‘neck which sidelined him
midway through the season.
