The bridge will be closed from mid- night on Sunday, June 11, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 12. Lions Gate Project spokesman Pam Ryan said the closure would allow work- ers to put more equipment on the jack- ing traveller which lowers and lifts bridge deck sections into place. The project office is still hoping, that the design glitches engineers found with the continuity link (which holds old and new sections together during the lower and lift process) can be resolved in time for a full weekend closure later this month. Scheduled June closures were can- celled when engineers realized the conti- nuity link would affect the speed of the lower and lift process. Most full weekend closures are now expected to take place in September and October. Ryan said so far no additional week- end closur.”. Save been scheduled. The report, entitled The Efficacy of the Drug Abuse Resistance Program (DARE) in West Vancouver Schools, was compiled by local researcher Dr. Charles Curtis. The committee’s comments include the following: @ DARE is “not taken seriously because the content is far too juvenile and doesn’t get to the reality of the issues (e.g. cartoon characters telling students not to take drugs). ‘Just say no’ may ‘SKU 6451813 Coupon Clipper p43 Turn to Classifieds for the best coupon deals Annual summer feuide delivered with today’s newspaper Our Rorih Shore WWW.Snews.com NEWS photo Julle tverson work for young children but is ineffective as students get older.
