10-month sabbatical two doors to

Street with fewer seats (34 com-
pared with the previous 56), but
with an open kitchen and renew-
ed culinary inspiration,

In addition to removing the
walls between kitchen and dining
room, Carmelo has shed the ex-
clusivity of Italian cuisine to in-
corporate what owner and head
chef Samuel Sentroudi calls
“borderless cuisine.”
