Reading club
chugs along
at City Library

THE NORTH Vancouver City
Library is sponsoring a Reading
Railroad program this year for its
annual summer reading club.
Trains and train lore will be
presented in a variety of ways for
children in grades one to seven.
Model trains will be on display
representing locomotives of the
past, present and future. The pro-

_ gram will also show special films

including Starbreaker and the
Railrodder. .

Special entertainment with guest
speakers, storytellers and exhibits

are all part of the summer pro-

' gram.

Some of the program highlights
include story sessions about the
Lions Gate Bridge being built, the
Tumbler Ridge Line construction,
SkyTrain and the old North Van-
couver trolley Jine. .

Submarine expert’ Michel Ger-
vais will talk about underwater
vessels.

The program also includes
prizes, books and a draw for a trip
with B.C. Rail. .
