Helpline gets help

B.C. Tel this week ‘began
placing special decals on
more than .4,000 coin
telehones throughout the
province to assist British
Columbians in reporting
incidents of child abuse.

Mike Reigh, coin
telephone manager, said the
decals are being placed on
coin telephones in every
outdoor booth in B.C., as
well as those units located in
bus depots, hospitals,
laundromats, public libraries
and schools.

“As a policy, we do not
put any type of sticker on
our coin telephones,” Reigh
said. “However, we are
responding to a request from
the provincial government to
participate in a public
