Teen flips parents’ car THE 16-year-old driver of this car (shown above) had his licence 11 weeks when he decided to swerve and give his buddies in the trunk a scare on March 27. North Vancouver RCMP Const. Tom Seaman said there were seven occupants in the Pontiac Grand Am at the time. The car belonged to the driver's parents. SATURDAY | Police say the novice North Van driver swerved back and forth and eventually caused the car to flip over on its roof on Berkley Road in the Seymour area. Three pas- sengers who were not wear- ing seat belts were injured. Police say it is a miracle thar no one was seriously injured or killed. The voung driver reportedly teld police afterwards, “I was driving like a jerk.” The driver was charged with driving without due care and attention. His name was not released. Police say one of the car passengers was ticketed a few days Jater for excessive speed- ing.
