The fair will take place on Saturday, March 31 and is designed to inform women with children about community groups, services and programs that are of interest to them, as well as to provide skill develop- ment workshops, video screenings and a children's program. The NSWC Planning Committee requires assistants who are interested in publicity, programming, helping with mailouts and distribution and in providing on- site support on the day of the event. The fair will be held at Queen Mary Community School in North Vancouver. Interested volunteers can call NSWC directly at 984-6009 for more information on how to help. Mothers who want to attend the fair are advised to contact NSWC after Feb. 26 for detailed program in- formation and registration. Since the current diet fad is counting fat grams, this product is ideal. Broadmoor Bread: These breads are now being produced by local Venice Bakery. Here again, I was delivered a sample basket of sever- al of the products which ! divvied up with my kids for in-home testing. They all gave excellent reviews. The various loaves, buns and English muffins are hearty, chewy and loaded with good stuff like seeds and whole grains. The breads are low cholesterol. So, what did I do? Served toasted slices with bacon and eggs! I try hard but perfection eludes me. Give the stuff a try — it’s light textured but nicely chewy. It makes hearty sandwiches for those packing lunch boxes.
