All judg- ing will be conducted by the Awards Committee during the race itself; there will be no inspection of vessels at the moorage. The Twelfth Annual Race The 1989 running of the Twelfth Annual North Shore News Sail- ing Race, co-sponsored by CHOM, is set for Sunday June 48th. Racers from previous years will be familiar with the course from the start at Duridarave Pier, to a marker at Point Atkinson, to the Point Grey Bell Buoy, to.a marker set 0.7 miles south of the center channel marker, to the finish line off Kitsilano Yacht Club, a distance of approx- imately 12 miles. The start will be conducted at 10:00 am, and the official finish time is 3.00 pm. Ceremonies and awards presentations will begin as soon as possible after 3.00 pm. at the Pelican Bay Dining Room located in the Granville island Hotel. The twelfth annual family sailing event is open to alll cruising sailboats regardiess of club membership or affiliation. Entry Forms Are available at the North Shore News and CHQM.
