C4 - Sunday, November 6, 1983 - North Shore News BARRETT FISHER FASHION BUFFS had a vast selection of displays to catch their attention at the Trend- setter’s Annual Fall Fashion event recently held at the Coach House. Workshops on cutting hair, giving facials, applying make-up and changing hair color were just a few displays that visiting women could watch and participate in. A fashion show, put on by Good Look Fashions, just off Lonsdale at 15th, showed off some sexy silk items and evening wear at reasonable prices. In a whirl of chatter and excitement, the models seem- ed to disappear as quickly as they appeared, but not too fast to miss a sexy, grey, off- the-shoulder, silk and angora sweater by 1.B. Diffusion, for $67. Two other eye-catching garments included a red silk dress highlighted with white Gl fashion ee Trend setting silk tim by Anthony Pan for $110, and an almost Victorian-looking grey checked dress with a lively, big white collar and black tie by Benee for $119. Esthetician Lesley Burns, in charge of the facial demonstration, explained the four steps involved in giving facials. First, she says the skin must be prepared through a deep cleaning pro- cess, then the face is steamed to soften the skin and extract the impurities. Then the face is massaged, and and finally a mask protection cream is administered. Burns said their facials at Trendsetters cost $25. Lorraine Savidan, one of the hairdressers, was halfway through cutting Melinda Komings hair, and said, she was making the cut full on top and blunt at the back. Because Melinda’s hair is fine, the hairdresser cut long layers for a fuller look. The Pen feat NSettin “One Stop Bridal Complex’’ Administrator.
