Indians go up by one

PROLIFIC goal pro-
ducer Paul Gait is up
to his usual tricks and
the rest of the North
Shore Indians are fol-
lowing his lead.

Last Friday night, the
Maple Ridge Burrards visited
Lonsdale Arena for the third
game of their best-of-seven
semi-final matchup, but were
sent away licking — their
wounds following a 13-8
drubbing.

The result lifted the home-
team Indians to a 2-1 lead in
the series and marked the first
time a series game was decid-
ed by more than one goal.

The Indians jumped to a
4-1 lead before a string of
bizarre officiating decisions

and some sloppy defensive
work twice allowed — the
Burrards to close within one
goal.

Mactehe, solid most of the
night, was blindsided in che
crease at the end of the first

result was a hard-fought con-

Coquitlam Arena at 8 pam.
