DUNCAH - William Wallace Charters,
passed away peacefully October 12,
1994 in his 80th year, at Langley Memo-
tial Hosoital. Bill wil! be sadly missed by
his wife Phyllis, sister Phyllis
Sutherland, and nieces Phyllis, Paddy
and Nora. He was born in Olds, Alberta,
moved ta the North Shore in 1920, and
lived in North Vancouver most of his
life, priot to moving to a country home
in Langley in 1961. Bill was an en-
thusiastic sportsman. He played English
tugby with the very successful North
Shore All Blacks from 2932 to 1939 and
after the war coached the same club
from 1945 to 1953. Bill was an ex-
cellent golfer, a past member and Cap-
tain at the Capilano Golf and Country
Club. A memerciat service was held at St.
John's Anglican Church in North Van-
couver on October 18, 1994, Reverend
Ray Waller officiating. Bill's ashes will
be interred in the family plot in North
Vancouver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if
you wish, please send donations to a
charity of your choice in memory of Bill.

ELLIOTT - William Douglas of North
Vancouver on October 13, 1994 at the
age of 84 years. Survived by his loving
wife Mary; two sons, Ken and Bob; three
grandchildten, Ken, Dane and Tyler.
Public visitation to be held Thursday,

passed away Saturday. October 15, 1994
at 5:00 p.m. in Licns Gate Hospital,
North Vancouver. Predeceased by her
Joving husband Nestor. Mother, grand-
mother, mentor and friend — she will
be very deeply missed by her loving fam-
tly, daughter Jean, grandsons Michael
and Jeffrey, daughter Madeline and
son-in-law Vince of Williams Lake. Also
sadly missed by other retatives and
friends, including her cousins and niece
in Scotland, Her family wishes to ex-
press their sincere appreciation to the
surgeons, doctors and nurses at Lions
Gate Hospital for all theis efforts and
gentle care given. No services will be
held as requested by deceased. In lieu
