On May 27, a contingent of
North Shore Health nurses congre-
gated on the north end of the Lions
Gate and Second Narrows bridges
to inform the public about our
strike action,

We displayed signs and waved
to the commuters as they crawled
over the bridges during morning

wisecracks

Dear Editor:

This note is being addressed to
all people who make rude remarks
and jokes in poor taste regarding
automobile salespeople.

Not, of course, forgetting the
female section of the automobile’
industry.

Some automobile dealers also
have a bad time. Of course there
are a few rotten apples — that's
life with its lack of perfection.

In the '90s, just about every .er-
son in the business is well-trained
in all aspects of sales and customer
satisfaction which in turn breeds
success and financial gain.

When researching details of a
car that appeals to you, also take
the time to research your dealer-
ship.

A respectable dealership also
chooses its staff most carefully.

Most salespeople own their own
homes, have families, respect their

’ religious beliefs, and in general
live a good life.

So please, the next time you are
abuut to make an unworthy remark,
think of a worthy one instead.

have to worry about her aging rela-

common agreement.

We want to bring a high level of
healthcare to the communitics of
the North Shore but we can’t do
that until we feel valued for the
professional nurses that we are.
