8 ~ Wednesday. September 26, 1990 - North Shore News Flu clinics held NORTH SHORE Health will be holding local immunization clinics in October as part of the 1990-91 influenza vaccine program. The vaccine comprises inactivated components of A/Taiwan, A/ Shanghai and B/Yamagata. It is available free of charge to those individuals considered to be at greatest risk from influenza-celated complications: persons of any age with chronic heurt, lung, or kidney disease; chronical medical conditions such as diabetes, cancer, anemia, immunodeficiency of immunosup- pression; persons over 65 years of age; and children under doctors’ care for chronic medical conditions. Children and people under 65 years of age must obtain a written prescription from a physician and bring that prescription to the clinic to receive the vaccine.
